Stamford Health is seeking a Distribution Clerk to join our team! This is a full-time, day position (9am - 5pm) with alternating weekends. Major Responsibilities: Receives, inspects count, and notes any discrepancies on incoming freight. Records all quantities received on the purchase order, both on paper and in the system to ensure accurate deliveries. Operates dock and storeroom equipment correctly and safely. Fills stock requisitions in an accurate and timely manner. Delivers all Storeroom orders and/or non-stock orders to the requesting departments in a timely and accurate manner. Stocks unit supply rooms in a neat and orderly fashion and according to procedure. Always refills inventory on the floors and in the storeroom using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method of inventory management. Checks for expired supplies on any given unit on a monthly basis or as needed. Maintains the Storeroom in a neat and orderly manner at all times . Makes sure there is no debris on the floor. Rotates dated product also based on the first-in, first-out inventory processing and isolate any expired or damaged inventory and bring to inventory control as per policy. Protects supplies and equipment from damage or loss. Complies with all inventory controls relating to and ensuring the accuracy of physical product, paperwork, and inventory system. Performs key entry tasks as necessary in Oracle. Always ensures accurate system counts for respective areas. Uses computer to access the Oracle and Pyxis systems for all authorized inventory transactions. Makes off-site supply deliveries as needed. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with peers, management, clinicians, and other relevant hospital areas. Performs other related distribution services tasks as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in shipping/receiving or inventory/distribution preferred.
