Job Summary: The Distribution Center Operations Supervisor directs workflow for warehouse colleagues and leads their team to meet and exceed daily targets. Manages day to day work operations and evaluates work performance. Assists manager in the total leadership and operations with initiative, leadership, and continuous improvement thinking.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of management/leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED) - required
  • Regular and Reliable attendance
  • Constant standing, bending, stooping and climbing stairs
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and up to 75 lbs with team lift.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with coordination of processes and assignments for the distribution area to ensure the delivery of consistent work products.
  • Executes daily activities and operational plans for the distribution area's strategies to enhance the culture of excellence and innovation across the enterprise. Manages day-to-day operations in a warehouse section to ensure daily targets are met or exceeded. Conducts performance appraisals using various reports, summaries, and procedures as necessary to resolve problems and improve employee efficiency and warehouse operations.
  • Analyzes reports and provides recommendations to the operations manager on best practices for the section. Coordinates processes and assignments for areas within the warehouse to achieve a balanced workload and meet daily operational metrics. Assurance on time deliveries and customer service. Defines terms for conducting tasks and establishes new priorities for assignments to meet operational success.
  • Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development. Proven ability to think critically and strategically plan to improve performance in department.
