About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on, Distribution Center Supervisor for our new 500,000-sq-ft distribution center in Savannah, GA—the largest among our facilities nationwide. The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for leading our distribution operations. This hands-on role will require you to collaborate with other departments within and external to the DC to optimize workflow, ensure the quality of work, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the distribution center. Position Type: Full-time, Exempt

Requirements

  • Proven commitment to safety with experience enforcing and maintaining safety protocols in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Tier One WMS experience required; Blue Yonder experience is a plus.
  • Experience in automated, fast-paced facilities running multiple shifts.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.
  • Drive teamwork and team spirit.
  • Able to give and receive feedback.
  • Critical thinking and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems and prevent potential issues with people or products.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Lead and motivate a team of DC associates, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Delegate tasks, assign work schedules, and ensure the team adheres to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure order fulfillment by coordinating order processing, prioritize shipments, and ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address order inquiries, resolve issues, and meet customer expectations.
  • Lead quality control initiatives by conducting regular quality checks to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain product integrity and minimize errors.
  • Monitor product expiration dates, ensure proper storage conditions, and manage product recalls when necessary.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, promote safety awareness, and lead emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts.
  • Ensure equipment is properly operated, maintained, and repaired as needed.
  • Responsible for participating in the inventory accuracy of the distribution center.
  • Interview, train, cross-train, and develop current and new team members.
  • Create a safety culture by meeting/exceeding OSHA standards/requirements.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration with all stakeholders.
