About The Position

Transdev in Johnson County, Kansas is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Transdev is proud to offer: Non-CBA Position: • Competitive compensation package of minimum $17.25 – Maximum $21.50 hr. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and via radio.
  • Maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexible availability required, including the ability to work weekends.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in dispatching, particularly in transportation, transit, or logistics environments preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.
  • Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
  • Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
  • Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
  • Other duties as required.
