Dispatchers coordinate communication and logistics between drivers, production, customers, vendors, and Emergency personnel if needed to ensure timely, efficient and safe operations for our Logistics team. Managing truck drivers’ schedules and routes Scheduling freight to be picked up and delivered in a safe and timely manner Providing shipping details to customers Reviewing logs of truck drivers Documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices and BOL’s Handling customer complaints and inquiries Negotiating delivery timelines while staying within Hours-of-Service Regulations Work with the Maintenance shops to ensure trucks and trailers are maintained and are readily available for the trucking department’s needs. Helping with inbound and outbound deliveries and freight pickup as needed. Processing previous days routes in PCS to ensure proper billing and drivers payroll tracking. Inventory control and storage to ensure we have empty trailers when needed. Work with the production team, Lead dispatcher, and Transportation Supervisor to help relay and communicate in bound raw material crucial to production.
