As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and support patients, visitors, and staff with calm, professional communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards or unusual conditions, and report findings per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor direction and/or badging processes in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and customer service activities, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.
