About The Position

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research is hiring a Part-Time Dishwasher to support its food and beverage services. This role involves washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas to maintain a spotless, safe, and efficient kitchen environment for staff and guests. The position is vital for creating a clean and organized kitchen, whether working in the dish room, beverage station, or food prep area, and will make a real difference every day.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) cleaning and dish washing procedures
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, utensils, and food-service equipment
Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and storage areas
Operate dish washing machines safely and according to procedures
Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and check chemical levels regularly
Stock incoming food and non-food items
Remove damaged items from service and properly dispose of waste
Perform deep cleaning duties and maintain a safe work environment
Attend required trainings and departmental meetings
Follow sanitation and safety standards at all times
Assist with various kitchen or service area tasks as assigned
