About The Position

Home Run Inn is looking for reliable and hard working Dishwashers to join our Back of the House Teams in our Full Service restaurant in Darien, IL! The Dishwasher is responsible for performing duties to maintain, wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish-room and equipment clean and organized. Must be available to work Friday-Sundays, along with some weekdays. Closing shifts. (4pm-close) Home Run Inn Pizza is a fourth-generation family business that competes in both the restaurant and frozen food industries. Ideally you have one of our frozen pizzas in your freezer right now. Our primary goal at Home Run Inn Pizza is to be more than a participant in these industries. Our goal is to be a leader. Requirements

Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
Continuously be able to physically lift, reach, bend and stop.
Food Handler certification. (Obtain within 30 days of being hired)
Safety shoes required to work all shifts.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Frequently be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 16 years of age or older to operate equipment
Food Allergens at the Restaurant: Milk, Eggs, Tree nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, Soybeans, Sesame

Responsibilities

Load, run and unload dish machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle and understand variety of chemicals used in sanitation area.
Keep dish-room clean and organized to include all storage area.
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul dish-room trash to dumpster at designed times.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required to include sweeping, mopping cleaning walls.
Assist in cleaning cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, coolers and other equipment.
Maintain a safe and clean environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
