About The Position

Home Run Inn is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable Busser to join our Restaurant Team in Bolingbrook! Job Summary: This job is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining room and Kitchen. Pay: In the event your combined wages ($12.62 hourly rate and your earned tips) don’t add up to $16.60, Home Run Inn will still guarantee you are paid $16.60 per hour. Schedule: Must be available to work weekend/evening shifts, along with some weekdays. (4pm-close) This job will offer 2-3 shifts per week.

Requirements

Good communication skills to coordinate with Servers and other kitchen staff members.
Have working knowledge of the predominant language of our guests.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment,
Continuously be able to physically lift, reach, bend and stop.
Food Handler certification. (Obtain within 30 days of being hired)
Safety shoes required to work all shifts.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Frequently be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 16 years of age or older to operate equipment
Food Allergens at the Restaurant: Milk, Eggs, Tree nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, Soybeans, Sesame

Responsibilities

Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.
Take soiled tableware to dish-room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area.
Between seating promptly clean tabletops, chairs, and booths. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop to include buffet and or bus station.
Inspect assigned restroom in timely manner and clean as needed.
Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
Thank guests as they are leaving
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Clean, mop and sweep various areas as assigned. Remove Trash.
Assist in glass washing and stock for clean glasses.
Assist manager/bartenders with bar stock at the end of shift
Perform other related duties as assigned.
