About The Position

A Dish Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment in a food service environment. This role typically involves operating dishwashing machines, hand-washing items as needed, and maintaining a clean and efficient work area. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Completion of Orientation and safety training
  • Additional trainings as assigned
  • Wear black nonslip shoes
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred, and/or one to three months related experience preferred.
  • Food handlers card preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to listen to and apply instructions.
  • Ability to request guidance as needed.
  • Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission permit from a relevant government agency.

Responsibilities

  • Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
  • Washes pots, pans, and trays.
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
  • Washes and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
  • Segregates, removes trash, garbage and places it in designated containers.
  • Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Works together as a team to achieve customer service.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Requisition cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
