About The Position
The Job Placement Program is a temporary work placement program which allows our most talented frontline Team Members to gain professional work experience and networking opportunities by completing temporary work assignments in our theme park offices. The goal is to prepare frontline Team Members to transition into full-time careers! DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Develop, write and edit USH news stories and campaign support content, including behind-the-scenes stories, as assigned by DU USH Manager Participate in editorial brainstorms and regular editorial meetings; Assist with the management of the Discover Universal Blog as a digital platform; upload articles and imagery to Wordpress backend Ensure all live content follows SEO best practices as communicated by DU USH Manager Work with DU USH Manager on executing a guest-first editorial content strategy, including any behind-the-scenes projects which support the overall editorial strategy Capture editorial and lifestyle imagery to accompany DU Blog articles as assigned by DU USH Manager Pull existing photography assets from MediaValet and existing Dropboxes to accompany DU Blog articles as needed Coordinate with Popcorn team to obtain existing imagery to accompany DU Blog articles as needed Manage, update and organize the DU USH photography archive
Requirements
- Strong writing skills and also an understanding of brand journalism, including an ability to recognize stories with high potential for provocative, compelling storytelling
- Strong editorial and lifestyle photography skills, with a deep understanding of what makes captivating visual media, including graphics and video
- Proficient in AP Style
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of editorial tools including WordPress, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Photoshop, Workfront, and Microsoft Office
- Attendance - TM must have 8 or below attendance points AND no more than a Written Warning 2 in the last 6 months
- Variance - TM must have 7 or below variance points AND no more than a Final Written Warning in the last 6 months
- Behavioral - No more than a Final Written Warning level discipline in the last 6 months
- Probationary Status - TM must have passed or be within 75% Through probation during application/ selection and must have passed probation as of start date of role
- Availability - Must have full open availability

- Spanish-writing/editing skills welcome, but not required
Responsibilities
