About The Position

The Job Placement Program is a temporary work placement program which allows our most talented frontline Team Members to gain professional work experience and networking opportunities by completing temporary work assignments in our theme park offices. The goal is to prepare frontline Team Members to transition into full-time careers! DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Assist the Internal Communications team with day-to-day tasks. Assist with writing USH News / Team Universal articles for upcoming Team Member announcements and events, Inclusion features, and more. Design corresponding back-of-house screens and digital headers. Assist with creating social media content by capturing photos and videos of Team Members. Assist with communications on internal platforms to share key information. Gain insight into how we connect with Team Members across USH through KPIs and other metrics.

Requirements

  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly visible department.
  • Strong ability to set and shift priorities as needed; multitask; problem-solve; maintain composure and tact; communicate when assistance is needed; and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An understanding of various social media platforms and how to create compelling, audience-appropriate content.
  • Creative writing skills.
  • Design and layout knowledge, including experience using Canva.
  • A personable and confident demeanor, with the ability to connect with Team Members across the Park, Back of House, CityWalk, and more.
  • Attendance - TM must have 8 or below attendance points AND no more than a Written Warning 2 in the last 6 months
  • Variance - TM must have 7 or below variance points AND no more than a Final Written Warning in the last 6 months
  • Behavioral - No more than a Final Written Warning level discipline in the last 6 months
  • Probationary Status - TM must have passed or be within 75% Through probation during application/ selection and must have passed probation as of start date of role
  • Must be current USH team member
  • Must have full open availability
