Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass respiratory physical
  • Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)
  • Ability to learn, understand and adhere to standard work
  • Basic understanding of documentation (ISO, windchill, Kanban and TKS’s)

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification, if necessary

Responsibilities

  • Load/unload/inspect/clean and pre-treat parts and assemblies in the paint area.
  • Grind frames to print in the grinding room.
  • Learn the process (Primary focus during introductory level).
  • Understand, accept, and support vision and key business goals.
  • Support and demonstrate a well-organized, safe and clean workplace.
  • Understand, support and commit to the team and continuous improvement.
  • Resolve problems at the lowest level possible.
  • Identify possible solutions when communicating problems.
  • Follow rules of conduct at all times.
  • Ability to learn, understand and adhere to standard work.
  • Understand the importance of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Be responsive to internal and external customer needs.
  • Demonstrate ability to set up and run basic operations in specific department(s) with assistance (within 6 months).
  • Demonstrate ability to make minor adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment, with assistance (within 6 months).
  • Properly inspect, load and unload the paint system (racks, trees, chain spacing, etc) (within 6 months).
  • Properly prepare parts for the paint system (sanding, plugging, eye bolts, etc) (within 6 months).
  • Inspect frames for pinholes, missing welds, etc. (within 6 months).
  • Understand and follow the work instructions and quality standards for the department (within 6 months).
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements of the department (within 6 months).
  • Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, windchill, Kanban and TKS’s) (within 6 months).
