We are seeking skilled and experienced Disability Support Workers, to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team. You will support people with disability living in shared housing, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. The people you will be supporting require a range of support and so, successful candidates should be confident in working within a varied environment which may include behaviours of concern, high medical needs, high intensity daily personal activities and hoisting and manual handling. The successful candidate must be able to commit a variety of casual shifts in Hadfield which may include active overnights. Additional shifts in surrounding suburbs of Melbourne may be required.

Requirements

  • Experience working with people with disability
  • Previous experience working behaviours of concern
  • Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
  • Manual Handling and Hoisting experience
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
