Responsible for providing services to ensure that students with disabilities have access to opportunities available at the College. Develop and implement programs and services for at-risk students. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide services to assist students with identified accommodation needs and concerns that affect academic success. Advocate for and coordinate special accommodations with faculty for students with documented disabilities. Maintain documentation required for providing accommodations. Identify, secure and coordinate, in accordance with the American Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, appropriate and reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. Communicate concerns and provide necessary support and materials for faculty, staff, and other service providers to assist in the identification and development of methods to assist students. Establish and maintain referral resources and relationships with external agencies and programs to provide additional services for students. Maintain confidential student contact records. Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.
