Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Technology practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. This role is focused on advising the Private Equity sector. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people. Your key responsibilities As a Director with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Deal Technology practice, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing IT focused projects across sectors. You’ll work day to day with investment teams, operating partners, and C-Suite executives at middle market Portfolio companies. You will be developing and executing strategies for transactions. Part of your role will also involve developing experience in different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, value creation). Having a commercial mindset is key to this role. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information and Operations Management, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • Significant management consulting experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Interest in understanding of how Private Equity dynamics work, navigating stakeholders across investment teams, operating partners/advisors, and leaders at the Portfolio Companies
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.

  • Integration and Separation Planning
  • Experience with and demonstrated success in at least one key business process such as procurement to pay, record to report, order to cash, plan to make, hire to retire.
  • Certifications in Agile, ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma, CISSP or CISA highly desired.
  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • A proven record of excellence in an IT transactions role.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Benefits

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.
  • The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $205,000 to $235,000.
  • Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
  • In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
