About The Position

Reporting directly to the VP- Warehousing,the Director of Warehousing Operations oversee operations at a the RJW Warehouses and ensures that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Directly responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operation of multiple warehouse facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Providing strategic direction and hands-on leadership in all aspects of logistics, inventory management, and customer service Accountable for the development and achievement of monthly, annual, and long-term strategic plans as well as operational improvement initiatives related to the cost, efficiency, quality, safety. Collaborate with department leaders and their respective teams to achieve cost, quality, inventory measures, safety, customer satisfaction and people development objectives Manage, coach, and develop direct reports and their respective teams to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skillsOversees the operations of the warehouses. Includes compliance with OSHA, Safety, Workers Compensation, and other regulations to ensure a safe and productive work environment Determine standards, KPI's, production goals, and processes based on company policies, and workloads, confer with other management or subordinates to resolve problems, complaints, or issues Provide input on annual cost budgets and performance goals.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and regulatory policies and permitsPromote effective policies in recruitment, retention, and training

Requirements

  • Experience in multi-state warehouse acquisitions planning
  • Out standing track record of managing operations and delivering results through developing significant improvements in costs and transport
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster the development of an efficient and cohesive operations group, with the ability to organize and develop the talent of direct reports
  • Substantial experience in lean process development, inventory control, logistics, and distribution management
  • Experience managing a team of operations professionals
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience overseeing multiple warehouses
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience of direct involvement in warehousing, transportation, and/or logistics fields.
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management required.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regularly work in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must hear speech out of both ears in the normal range of 30db at 500 to 2000 Hz range.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
