About The Position

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location posted. No relocation is offered. Location: Dallas, TX Overall Purpose: Leads and optimizes the sourcing of highly complex technical products and services that are critical to AT&T’s technology transformation. Drives enterprise sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, contractual integrity, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while enabling innovation and scalable growth. What you’ll do Designs and executes sourcing strategies that directly support AT&T’s technology transformation and cost reduction objectives. Leads critical sourcing programs and large, specialized teams, with accountability for talent decisions including hiring, performance management, and compensation. Strategic Technical Sourcing & Category Leadership Lead enterprise‑level sourcing strategies across complex technical software and cloud‑based categories, including data analytics, supply chain platforms, and IaaS/SaaS/PaaS solutions. Develop and implement category strategies aligned with AT&T’s technology roadmap, transformation initiatives, and financial objectives. Drive supplier rationalization, competitive sourcing, and long‑term value creation across high‑spend technical portfolios. Contract Negotiation, Risk Management & Compliance Prepare, negotiate, execute, and manage complex commercial agreements and subcontracts in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure contracts protect AT&T’s financial, operational, and intellectual property interests while enabling flexibility for evolving technology needs. Advise senior leadership on contractual rights, obligations, and risk exposure related to technical sourcing decisions. Operational Efficiency, Transformation & Continuous Improvement Lead transformation and optimization initiatives that improve sourcing efficiency, reduce cycle times, and support evolving network and technology requirements. Implement continuous improvement practices, leveraging data and analytics to enhance sourcing processes, governance, and execution. Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies support critical enterprise programs and operational priorities. Performance Management & Stakeholder Satisfaction Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and delivery outcomes. Ensure adherence to approved budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance commitments. Use project monitoring, issue resolution, and stakeholder feedback mechanisms to measure success and continuously improve outcomes. Supplier Relationship Management & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with strategic technical suppliers and oversee formal supplier performance evaluations. Collaborate closely with technology, finance, legal, security, and business leaders to align sourcing strategies with enterprise objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technical sourcing strategy, market dynamics, and emerging technology trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technical sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related disciplines
  • 8+ years in technical sourcing with experience in software and cloud‑based categories, including data analytics, supply chain platforms, and IaaS/SaaS/PaaS solutions.
