About The Position

As the Director of Talent Acquisition – Americas , you will lead both the strategy and execution of talent acquisition across Yum! Brands’ U.S. and Americas-based corporate teams, supporting the world’s most iconic brands - KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Habit Burger & Grill. This role is responsible for building, growing, and inspiring a high-performing talent acquisition team that attracts, engages, and hires exceptional talent at scale while delivering a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience. You’ll help shape how we bring great people to the table - fueling the teams behind our global brands and ensuring our talent strategy is as bold, agile, and distinctive as the businesses we support. You will shape and drive a modern, brand-agnostic recruitment operating model while serving as a hands-on people leader who invests deeply in team development and capability building. This is a highly visible leadership role where you’ll deliver measurable results while developing a team and culture you’re proud to lead. This position can be based in Irvine, CA, Louisville, KY, or Plano, TX. Salary Range: $164,500 - $193,600 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors .

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, including leading large corporate teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading full lifecycle recruiting in a matrixed, multi-brand environment
  • Deep understanding of talent acquisition metrics (time-to-fill, quality, recruiter load) and ability to influence through data

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Governance Shape and lead the Talent Acquisition strategy for the Americas, bringing fresh ideas and external best practices to build a high-impact recruiting organization aligned with global direction and local business needs.
  • Partner with brand and HR leaders to translate evolving business priorities into scalable, data-driven hiring plans that help our brands win in the market.
  • Own the recruiting lifecycle and performance across the region, using insights and metrics to remove barriers, improve efficiency, and continuously raise the bar.
  • Team Leadership & Performance Lead and develop a team of 15+ managers and recruiters, creating an environment where people are coached, challenged, and inspired to unlock their full potential while delivering breakthrough hiring results.
  • Set bold expectations and performance standards, using data, insights, and regular business reviews to coach for impact, improve productivity, and consistently elevate performance across the team.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, agility, and shared accountability across teams, brands, and geographies, while embedding development plans and stretch opportunities that strengthen capabilities and build future leaders.
  • Operational Delivery & Optimization Partner across Talent Acquisition, HR, Technology, and key teams to deliver a consistent, efficient recruiting experience across the Americas, ensuring processes are aligned, scalable, and easy to use.
  • Collaborate closely with technology and analytics partners to improve recruiting tools, workflows, and insights, simplifying how work gets done and enabling smarter, faster hiring decisions.
  • Optimize how recruiting resources are deployed by balancing priorities, managing capacity, and thoughtfully leveraging external partners, while continuing to strengthen internal capabilities and long-term sustainability.
  • Candidate & Stakeholder Experience Champion a white-glove candidate experience at every touchpoint, ensuring interactions are thoughtful, transparent, and engaging- reinforcing Yum! Brands as an employer of choice and a place where people can grow, thrive, and build meaningful careers.
  • Build trusted partnerships with hiring leaders by delivering outstanding service, clear communication, and high-quality candidate slates that enable confident, timely hiring decisions.
