About The Position

The Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive partnership strategy that advances Neighborhood Healthcare’s mission and growth objectives. This role works directly with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Director of External Affairs to identify, prioritize, and implement partnership opportunities that align with organizational goals. The Director focuses on building and managing relationships with schools, government agencies, nonprofits, senior service providers, youth organizations, and community leaders, driving initiatives that expand the organization’s presence and impact in priority regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, Political Science, or a related field required (or comparable years of work experience); master’s degree preferred
  • Eight years of progressive experience in partnership development, business development, community relations, or a related field (healthcare experience is highly valued), or related field required
  • Five years of supervisory or leadership role, ideally with direct responsibility for strategic partnerships, external relations, or program management required
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships, especially with healthcare providers, government agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and report on partnership outcomes.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulatory standards, and compliance.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, Medi-Cal, and other social services programs.
  • Excellent Windows software applications skills, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to attend community meetings and present Neighborhood services to small and large groups.
  • Ability to establish and lead cross-functional team to meet corporate objectives.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with frontline, client-facing professionals, and fellow support staff colleagues.
  • Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs/weight
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO, COO, and Director of External Affairs to develop and implement a strategic partnership plan.
  • Advise executive leadership on partnership opportunities and engagement strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure partnership initiatives are integrated and effective.
  • Build and manage relationships with schools, government agencies, nonprofits, senior service providers, youth organizations, and community leaders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for partnerships in school-based health, older adult services, and pediatric programs.
  • Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities that advance organizational goals and expand presence in priority regions.
  • Represent the organization at high-profile stakeholder meetings, advisory groups, and community forums, serving as a key spokesperson.
  • Communicate the organization’s mission, values, and impact to partners and the public.
  • Present project and initiative updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development and launch of new partnership-driven programs and services, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure program alignment and monitor progress.
  • Identify service gaps and recommend new initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness of new services.
  • Guide Marketing and Communications in crafting messaging that supports partnership objectives and community outreach.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with community leaders, advocates, and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in local events to increase program understanding.
  • Oversee the preparation of executive reports and presentations on partnership strategy, milestones, and impact.
  • Track partnership milestones, measure impact, and maintain stakeholder records.
  • Proactively inform executive leadership of emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in the partnership landscape.
  • Work with Operations, Clinical, Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, PACE, Business Development, Marketing, Data, and Quality teams to support partnership-aligned programs and evaluate outcomes.
  • Scan for new partnership opportunities and trends that support service expansion.
  • Develop relationships in priority regions and recommend strategic investments.
