About The Position

The Director of Member Insights & Growth Strategy is responsible for leading a member-centric approach to data analytics and strategic growth at Municipal Credit Union. This leader will leverage data-driven insights to identify and recommend high-value growth segments—such as profitable members and priority prospects—across New York City. The Director will aggregate and synthesize data from diverse sources, translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations that deepen member intimacy and drive relevant, resonant strategies for both current and prospective members.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to aggregate and synthesize data from multiple sources, delivering clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience in financial services, or in using data to drive member intimacy and develop strategies that resonate with members and prospects.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a member-focused analytics strategy to uncover actionable insights about member behaviors, preferences, and needs.
  • Identify and recommend target growth segments, including profitable members and high-value prospects, to support strategic expansion in New York City.
  • Use data to drive member intimacy, ensuring recommendations are tailored and relevant to individual members and segments.
  • Analyze member and prospect data to inform personalized product and service offerings that foster deeper relationships and loyalty.
  • Aggregate and interpret data from disparate sources, making sense of complex information to guide business decisions.
  • Clearly communicate findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with member-centric objectives.
  • Proactively share insights that influence product design, pricing, and marketing strategies to maximize member engagement and profitability.
  • Develop qualitative methods to generate hypotheses that can then be tested and validated quantitatively using data.
  • Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that highlight key member metrics, growth opportunities, and trends.
  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting of KPIs related to member growth, satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Establish frameworks to measure the impact of data-driven initiatives on member experience and business outcomes.
  • Partner with IT, product, and marketing teams to ensure data integrity and to launch data-informed member initiatives.
  • Serve as a thought leader in member-centric analytics, presenting insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Uphold data governance standards to protect member data and maintain trust.
  • Ensure all data initiatives comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
