What will you contribute? This is a hybrid role based in Austin or Atlanta, subject to in‑office requirements. The Strategic Finance Partner serves as a senior thought partner to executive leadership, providing rigorous financial insight, strategic modeling, and decision support across enterprise‑level initiatives. This role strengthens Finastra’s strategic finance leadership capacity in the U.S. time zone and contributes to outcomes across M&A, long‑range planning, investment prioritization, and complex commercial decisions. The role is highly analytical, externally facing as needed via due diligence and engagement with advisors, and operates at the intersection of strategy, finance, and execution. It supports senior stakeholders including the CFO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and business unit leaders.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Investment Banking, preferably at a highly matrixed global organization
  • Experience with divestitures, M&A diligence, or carve‑out modeling strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Comfort operating under tight timelines with high accountability.
  • Financial & Analytical Acumen Expert‑level modeling (Excel‑native and FP&A‑like analysis).
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non‑finance audiences.
  • Strategic Thinking Ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable workstreams.
  • Capability to challenge constructively and influence at senior levels.
  • Execution Excellence High “say/do” ratio; thrives in fast‑moving, dynamic environments.
  • Strong program management discipline.
  • Communication & Executive Presence Synthesizes information crisply for executive consumption (slides, memos, verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Transaction Support (Divestitures & M&A)
  • Support preparation and execution of multiyear divestiture plans and strategic transactions.
  • Build, refine, and pressure‑test financial models for: Carve‑out financials Stand‑alone cost structures TSA, dis‑synergy analysis KPI packages, buyer‑ready financial materials QoE-ready datasets
  • Support coordination with bankers, diligence providers (e.g., EY), legal, and PE sponsors.
  • Translate complex financial findings into clear narratives for executives and buyers.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling Excellence
  • Own and/or validate analytical outputs for ongoing strategic workstreams.
  • Develop forward‑looking sales models supporting scenario planning, valuation, business unit economics, and separation readiness.
  • Cross‑Functional Project Leadership
  • Lead or support cross‑functional workstreams across Finance, Product, Engineering, HR, IT, Legal, Ops, Tax, and Commercial.
  • Drive structured execution against ambitious timelines (aligned with Finance’s “deliver at pace” culture)
  • Ensure teams have clarity on priorities, milestones, and interdependencies.
  • Diligence & Data Readiness
  • Maintain and improve data packages required for divestiture, investor, and buyer processes.
  • Oversee request lists (internal and external), ensuring fast, accurate turnaround.
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Accounting, Revenue, and Data teams to reconcile, validate, and package financial information Operating Model & Value Creation Support
  • Help define stand‑alone operating models for divested units.
  • Build cost baselines, stranded cost bridges, and future‑state organizational structures.
  • Identify and quantify value‑creation levers (commercial, cost, tech, product focus).
