About The Position

The Director Strategic Account is responsible for leading a high-performing national sales team, managing strategic client relationships, and driving revenue growth across key accounts. This role requires effective leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement with clients and sales professionals nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, with a track record of account development and revenue growth.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong experience with CRM platforms for performance tracking and business development.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong passion for mentoring, coaching, and team development
  • Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, manage budgets, and support informed business decisions
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to accurately analyze, interpret, and report data
  • Willingness and ability to conduct in-person product presentations and demonstrations at dealership locations
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed assigned Net Revenue Budget targets.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with national account partners and corporate influencers.
  • Conduct strategic business reviews: Tier A Accounts – Quarterly Tier B Accounts – Semi-Annually Tier C Accounts – Annually
  • Identify and generate two qualified sales leads each month (non-Zurich).
  • Present solutions and products effectively to executive stakeholders and dealership decision-makers
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for a national team of outside sales professionals.
  • Conduct monthly 1:1 business review with Account Executives to assess performance and coach for success.
  • Track and ensure achievement of Net Revenue goals through strategic planning and execution.
  • Use Spiro, DOMO and Map My Customer tools to manage sales activities and monitor team performance.
  • Travel 75% a month.
  • Attend key account business reviews.
  • Travel with each team member at least once per quarter.
  • Manage team travel schedules to ensure alignment with 75% travel requirement.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to T&E policy and budgets.
  • Track market trends to identify opportunities and anticipate changes in the industry.
  • Drive account development through strategic prospecting, cold-calling, and reactivation of dormant accounts.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed revenue objectives.
  • Supervise national sales team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assign tasks, provide ongoing support, and ensure timely execution of strategic objectives.
