About The Position

Thank you for considering Progyny! We’re looking for a dynamic social media leader to take our brand presence to the next level. This role will own the social media strategy and associated content development across all platforms, driving innovation, engagement, and measurable impact. You’ll lead a team of passionate creators, collaborate with executives, and serve as the conduit between organic and paid social efforts. What you'll do... Own Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across all platforms to grow brand awareness and engagement, inclusive of defining frequency, reposting, 3rd party engagement, ambassador recruitment, and more. Build Content Strategy: Lead the development of overarching content strategy and content planning to support the business, with focus on thought leadership and brand story telling. Oversee Content Creation: Manage development of content (social posts, LI articles, surveys, videos, internal podcast and video programs, website landing pages, blogs, etc.) that conveys the right messages to your target audiences. Ensure all content reflects brand voice, simplifies complex messaging, and supports long-term positioning. Inspire Content Innovation: Drive a test-and-learn approach to identify what performs best; optimize content for reach and impact; assure content layout and design fits the medium and audience. Build Community Engagement: Lead the creation and deployment of strategy and tactics to build a loyal community of Superfans, with a strong focus on Instagram. Identify and deploy of influencers as needed. Lead Response to Time Sensitive Events: Oversee strategy and timely and thoughtful response to breaking news, crises, or other opportunities to capitalize upon for the business. Appropriately manage a proactive-reactive strategy. Optimize the Social Listening Strategy: Oversee the monitoring of trends, conversations, and sentiment; expand strategy and create content posting decisions based on learnings. Lead a Team: Manage and mentor a team, fostering creativity and accountability. Build Executive Rapport: Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership; influence decision-making with data-driven strategies. Support growth of executive thought leadership, leading with data and expertise. Foster Paid Integration Planning: Serve as the conduit between organic social and paid media teams to ensure cohesive campaigns and maximize ROI.

Requirements

  • 12+ years experience leading social media strategy and content efforts for major brand or agency
  • Proven ability to scale the function with corresponding company/brand growth
  • Skilled in multi-format content creation (graphics, blogs, long/short video, podcasts)
  • Strong understanding of platform best practices, analytics, and emerging trends.
  • Experienced in policy and process development, as well as in crisis/social reputation management.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to partner and influence at all levels.
  • Experience managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Passion for community building and creating meaningful brand connections.
