About The Position

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for all sales in a region. This role will lead, and direct sales teams of Account Executives focused on new Business Development, client retention, and growth/cross sell opportunities for existing clients. This role is chartered with meeting or exceeding sales revenue and sales profitability targets in addition to cross selling Converges advanced practices into existing customers. Regional Sales Director will report directly to the Regional Vice President of the Southeast and is responsible for engaging in strategic planning, managing sellers, selling advanced solutions and services, leveraging technology, improving processes, and growing the overall gross profit for the territory. This role will be collaborative with other regional directors across the Southeast region and the United States.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales in the IT services industry and in Corporate Enterprise sales.
  • Proven record of sales success in a similar enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages Account Executives (includes hiring, supervising, developing and mentoring AE's).Manages and leads these sales teams to achieve sales targets.
  • Primary focus on new business development and client retention strategies within a defined region, both independently and through teaming with direct reports.
  • Master's the assigned region to identify new client growth opportunities within the local markets.
  • Recruits new sellers.
  • Conducts employee performance management plans and Quarterly Business Reviews, holding employees accountable to produce sales results and retain key client relationships.
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring and mentoring sales team's activities, building a viable sales pipeline, coaching individual employees on pursuits, and ultimately achieving the team targets for business development and sales.
  • Provides bi-weekly forecasting with range of commit and upside.
  • Oversees CRM compliance for sales team and ensures deals are entered, updated, and active, including bi-weekly assessment of larger deals with activity plan.
  • Collaborates on and promotes career path strategies within broader sales department.
  • Assists with complex sales negotiations, attends sales presentations, and helps close sales deals.
  • Helps develop sales proposals and responses to request for proposals (RFP's).
  • Manages training compliance.
  • Collaborates with Vendor Relations Management to develop and implement Vendor-specific sales programs.
  • Collaborates with the Solution Specialists and Principal Consultants in joint business development activities and oversees Outside Sales linkage to the SMEs.
  • Collaborates and plans with strategic manufacturing partners and vendors. (ex. IBM, HPE, Cisco, Dell)
  • Executes the sales strategy and plans sales pursuits for clients within a defined region.
  • Accountable for consistent growth in sales performance for an assigned region year-over-year.
  • Accountable for consistent growth in Professional and Managed services for assigned region year-over-year.
  • Accountable for consistent growth in our advanced practices for assigned region year-over-year.
  • Other duties as assigned.
