About The Position

This is a temporary position. The Director, Sales & Catering Program & Delivery Management leads the planning, governance, and execution of Marriott International’s global Sales & Catering strategy across its brand portfolio. This role drives large-scale, cross-functional initiatives by applying disciplined program and project management practices, including leading RFPs for selected vendors. The Director defines delivery models, sequencing, and decision frameworks to support group sales, meetings, events, and catering across managed, franchised, and owned properties. The role ensures initiatives are prioritized and delivered with predictability, aligned to business objectives, risk tolerance, and enterprise constraints, while advancing revenue growth, operational efficiency, and guest experience. The Director partners closely with Technology, Digital, Global Sales, Hotel Operations, Continents, and Brand teams to manage dependencies, mitigate risk, and enable successful platform rollout and adoption aligned with enterprise strategy.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of program management, delivery leadership, or large?scale transformation experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years leading enterprise, scale, cross functional technology or business programs in hospitality, travel, or complex service industries.
  • Strong experience working in agile, hybrid, or scaled delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting Sales & Catering, group sales, meetings & events, or hospitality operations platforms.
  • Experience delivering large modernization or platform transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management practices and global rollouts.
  • Experience working in franchised or owner operator business models.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar delivery certification.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the program delivery strategy for Sales & Catering initiatives, aligned with Marriott’s enterprise priorities and transformation roadmap.
  • Translate strategic objectives into multi year delivery plans, milestones, and investment roadmaps.
  • Ensure delivery approaches balance global standardization with brand and property level flexibility.
  • Align Sales & Catering delivery plans with Marriott’s broader digital, data, and platform programs.
  • Oversee integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, resourcing, and dependencies across teams and regions.
  • Establish governance structures to manage scope, prioritization, risk, and issue resolution.
  • Provide executive level visibility into progress, tradeoffs, and outcomes.
  • Drive end toend execution from initiation through deployment and stabilization.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and UX leaders to ensure readiness for development, testing, and release.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate risks, constraints, and cross team dependencies.
  • Ensure delivery quality, operational readiness, and adherence to enterprise standards.
  • Serve as a key coordination point across Technology, Global Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, Marketing, Loyalty, Finance, and Brand teams.
  • Facilitate executive steering committees, delivery reviews, and decision forums.
  • Align stakeholders on priorities, timelines, ownership, and expected outcomes.
  • Lead change management, rollout, and enablement strategies for Sales & Catering initiatives across thousands of properties globally.
  • Coordinate training, communications, and readiness activities with regional and property teams.
  • Ensure solutions scale effectively across managed and franchised hotels while accounting for regional, regulatory, and market differences.
  • Incorporate feedback and lessons learned to improve future delivery effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop program and project managers supporting Sales & Catering initiatives.
  • Establish best practices for delivery planning, governance, reporting, and execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the delivery organization.
