About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Director – Dialysis AR is responsible for overseeing all start-of-care processes, patient registration, financial clearance, billing accuracy, and collections performance for PruittHealth Dialysis Agencies. This leader ensures timely billing, clean claims, regulatory compliance, and optimal accounts receivable outcomes using industry-standard revenue cycle tools and software, including RENVIO patient accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite. The Director serves as a key liaison between dialysis location Business Offices, administrators, Area Vice Presidents, and corporate Revenue Cycle teams, ensuring seamless communication and consistent financial workflows. This role also oversees all start-of-care events, service activity lists, authorizations, and documentation accuracy for all billable dialysis services. Through strong leadership and process optimization, the Revenue Cycle Director champions PruittHealth’s long-term revenue cycle strategy, fosters continuous improvement, and supports a high‑performance culture.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of dialysis revenue cycle leadership, covering front-end operations, registration, authorization management, and AR/collections.
  • Experience in a shared services or multi-site healthcare environment.
  • Deep knowledge of dialysis business operations, including registration, billing, coding, reimbursement, and account follow-up.
  • Expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, commercial payer billing requirements and reimbursement methods.
  • Familiarity with managed care concepts, utilization review, and healthcare billing compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including communication with C‑Suite leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and statistical/project management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex operational and billing issues.
  • Proven ability to lead process design, implementation, and organizational change.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: BA/BS in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Preferred: Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) or similar credential.
  • Strong background working with computerized patient accounting systems such as RENVIO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the Dialysis Front-End Revenue Cycle, ensuring accurate patient registration, financial clearance, and timely billing.
  • Manage performance metrics and SLAs through strong leadership aligned with PruittHealth standards.
  • Ensure effective communication between dialysis locations, regional leadership, Revenue Cycle teams, and corporate partners.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to maintain a cohesive workflow from patient intake through claims submission and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.
  • Oversee training, onboarding, and ongoing competency development for Business Office staff.
  • Review all start‑of‑care events and service changes to ensure accuracy before claims processing.
  • Maintain strong awareness of healthcare billing regulations and changes affecting dialysis revenue cycle operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance revenue cycle efficiency and reduce avoidable AR delays.
  • Drive re‑engineering and automation of front‑end and back-office billing/collections processes.
  • Implement best practices in claims management, denial prevention, authorization workflows, and billing accuracy.
  • Develop policies and procedures supporting standardized front‑end revenue cycle operations.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Billing, Coding, Follow-Up, Denials Management, and Financial Services.
  • Conduct routine AR and Authorization review meetings with dialysis and corporate teams.
  • Communicate proactively to anticipate and resolve issues before they impact revenue.
  • Lead the Business Office and dialysis leadership teams to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular financial and operational reporting, including: Unbilled Reports NOA (Notice of Admission) Issues Front-End Error Reports
  • Monitor performance outcomes, implement corrective actions, and elevate service standards.
  • Use feedback tools and analytics to understand customer expectations and drive improvements.
  • Partner with the SVP of Revenue Cycle and operational leadership to establish and achieve organizational goals.
  • Participate in corporate AR reviews and support strategic initiatives.
  • Guide dialysis teams through process changes and system implementations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, provide updates, and ensure frontline teams understand evolving revenue cycle requirements.
  • Monitor account inventories, billing edits, and front-end performance metrics.
  • Lead bi-weekly Front-End issue resolution calls and weekly dialysis operations meetings.
  • Maintain accurate Census reporting and drive a high‑performing environment.
