About The Position

Position Summary: The Director of Residential Services is a visionary leader overseeing our growing community/residential programs (Independent Living Program, Permanent supportive Housing). The role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional social and emotional intelligence, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Director will establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, community partners, and federal funding sources. They will work closely with the Vice President of Community and Residential Services, representing CHRIS 180 to the public and upholding the organizations values of equity and social justice. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Independent Living Program, Permanent supportive Housing, as well as grant reporting, data collection and managing funding to support service delivery. The Program Director will possess knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, therapeutic modalities, and compliance guidelines, with experience in budget management and employee development. The position requires being on-call and a high degree of internal and external responsiveness. Role and Responsibilities: The primary duties include but are not limited to the following: Recruit clients for residential programs Ensure ongoing programmatic innovation, quality, and excellence. Ensuring residential services are implemented to the highest standard with consistent oversight and supervision Demonstrate consistent understanding of finance and administration, performance quality improvement, communications, and systems; implement timelines and resources needed to achieve the program goals Screen, interview, select and train staff as needed Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, coaching and empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance Work with staff to promote positive working relationships and develop systems that ensure consistent, high-quality trauma-informed program management Provide leadership in development of inter-team communication and cohesiveness, sustaining culture and supporting staff during service delivery and organizational growth Ensure adequate staffing is maintained throughout the year Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and professional standards Promote and market CHRIS 180 programs Collaborative Partnerships Managing collaborative internal and external community partnerships to advance the mission of the organization and support achieving the goals of the department Internal partnerships involve working closely with other departments at CHRIS 180 External partnerships involve working closely with partners in the community Develop, review, and recommend partnerships to the VP and CPOO and work to ensure appropriate design, funding, and implementation Administrative Oversight Responsible for managing each programs budgets working with the VP, direct reports, and the finance team Attend partnership meetings with government agencies as appropriate Collaborate with the compliance team to maintain compliance, periodically reviewing/revising and auditing files. Collect programmatic data for each location, and program; and maintain a system for tracking all measures needed for compliance, the organization, contract and/or grant reporting Provide reports with data summaries to VP and contract providers, as necessary Monitor the necessary systems, processes, and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge and results generated by the programs Clinical Requirements and Responsibilities Understand principles and practices of trauma-informed care and best clinical practices. Provide supervision, coaching and guidance for Program staff. Remain up to date on all CHRIS 180 policies and procedures in general and specifically as it relates to Childrens services Performance and Conduct Follow the CHRIS 180 Code of Ethics Maintain confidentiality of client information. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Follow mandated reporting requirements of the GA Code and State licensing Support and maintain an environment of emotional, psychological, and physical safety for clients, staff, and other stakeholders always. Program Staffing In consultation with the VP, recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff Implement the human resources policies, procedures, and practices of the organization. Assist with volunteers for appropriate program activities using established volunteer management practices Supervision of Staff Provide professional guidance to program staff by providing direction, supervision, coaching, input, and feedback. Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational on the job training (OJT) standards Assessing consumers' history of trauma, strengths and needs Aware of Ansell Casey Life Skills Assessment (ACLSA) and how to utilize in monitoring services Aware of CANS (Child & Adolescent Needs & Strengths) and how to utilize monitoring services Aware of ACE score and implications on service planning Monitor Individualized Service Plans

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in the field of social work, human services, child development, counseling, psychology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience and experience in delivery of social services
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed services.
  • Understanding of a systematic approach to child welfare services, permanency, and implementation of treatment
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and regulatory compliance
  • Prior experience working in the child/human services field and working with traumatized populations
