This includes project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation. The role requires strong communication skills, collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, and demonstrated expertise in project management, leadership, and process improvement. Depending on departmental needs, this position may also supervise project management staff.Job Description:Primary Responsibilities:Works with senior leadership as a thought partner to identify and select projects of strategic importance to the department and institution. Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support department/institutional goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. (essential)Creates, monitors, and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devises contingency plans. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path. (essential).Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. (essential) Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Requirements

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Business or Public Health preferred.
More than 10 years related work experience required.
Strong project management skills. Demonstrates proficiency in area of process improvement.
7 - 10 years of management experience in a health care setting.
Demonstrated success leading teams in planning and executing improvements.
High level of leadership skills and demonstrated proficiency in the areas of root cause analysis, problem solving, process improvement and system redesign.
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

Nice To Haves

Proven leadership ability in the respective Department (e.g., in Pathology: experience in pathology and/or laboratory medicine; in IT/IS: experience in healthcare information systems).
