Depending on departmental needs, this position may also supervise project management staff.Job Description:Primary Responsibilities:Works with senior leadership as a thought partner to identify and select projects of strategic importance to the department and institution. Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support department/institutional goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. (essential)Creates, monitors, and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devises contingency plans. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path. (essential).Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
