About The Position
Join Walmart’s Finance Transformation & Services organization as a Director, Business Strategy, where you will partner directly with senior leaders across Finance Transformation, Claims Services (WCS), and Contact Centers (CES) to advance priority initiatives and accelerate performance. This highly visible role serves as an extension of the Chief of Staff office, driving clarity, alignment, and execution across complex, fast moving workstreams while helping the organization navigate volatility and change. About Finance Transformation & Services The Finance Transformation & Services team supports operations across core service verticals, including Finance Transformation, Claims Services, and Contact Centers to ensure the organization meets its critical goals. We connect strategy to execution by enabling leadership decision making, strengthening cross functional alignment, and ensuring key workstreams deliver measurable impact. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing enterprise level priorities and supporting the leadership team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, PMO, transformation, consulting, or relevant cross‑functional leadership roles.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive clarity in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments.
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft executive‑ready content.
- Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives that require cross‑functional alignment and decision‑making.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal, or related field and 5 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management or related area OR 7 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area.
- 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
- 4 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.

- Experience supporting or operating within Chief of Staff‑type roles strongly preferred.

- Retail consulting.
- Walmart experience in Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, or Finance, including at least 2 years in a role requiring strategy development.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategic planning, operational rhythms, and leadership alignment across Finance Transformation, WCS, and CES to progress organizational goals.
- Serve as an extension of the Chief of Staff office, managing cross‑pillar initiatives, executive communications, and leadership preparation.
- Lead complex problem‑solving efforts, translating strategic objectives into actionable workplans that enable pillar leaders to execute effectively.
- Develop decision‑ready materials, insights, and recommendations for officer‑level audiences.
- Anticipate risks, capacity constraints, and organizational volatility, proactively shaping plans and adjustments to keep work moving forward.
