As a Product Leader, this role will lead the product strategy and execution for real-time decisions regarding customer application and transaction approvals/declines based on eligibility, risk profile, and fraud exposure. The role is responsible for shaping the future of how these automated decisions balance customer experience against potential fraud losses. The Director will lead a team of talented product managers and work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and operations to deliver best-in-class digital experiences. Joining the Decisioning Product team in Capital One Small Business Bank, the individual will define, build, and accelerate risk management solutions for pre- and post-booking experiences to serve small business customers quickly and efficiently. The role encompasses coaching, vision-setting, and problem-solving, leading a high-impact, associate product team, co-creating a future vision, gaining broad stakeholder alignment, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional value while removing impediments.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience working in Product Management
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) OR a Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration, with the expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date

  • Hands on experience managing the intersection of product and operations in a well-managed way
  • A strategic thought partner, capable of communicating and influencing senior leadership
  • Ability to collaborate across the enterprise, building relationships with key stakeholders
