Director, People

NetBrain
20h$150,000 - $170,000

About The Position

Founded in 2004, NetBrain is the leader in no-code network automation. Its ground-breaking Next-Gen platform provides IT operations teams with the ability to scale their hybrid multi-cloud connected networks by automating the processes associated with Diagnostic Troubleshooting, Outage Prevention and Protected Change Management. Today, over 2,500 of the world’s largest enterprises and managed services providers leverage NetBrain’s platform. We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Director & People Business Partner to serve as the connection between People strategy and the day-to-day operations and employee experience. Reporting directly to the Vice President of People, you will be the leader’s go-to functional lead for our People Operations team across the US, India, and China, and embedded into our Engineering departments as their senior people business partner. This is a highly visible, execution-focused role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can translate strategic intent into consistent action, and has the interpersonal skills to build trust across all levels of the organization. You will create meaningful capacity for the VP of People to focus on enterprise-level strategy — which means you need to be someone who can operate with autonomy, exercise sound judgment, and escalate the right things at the right time.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, or manage HR professionals, ideally across multiple locations or geographies
  • Solid working knowledge of U.S. employment law

  • Strong experience working in performance management platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • High degree of organization, attention to process, and commitment to documentation
  • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound judgment calls with limited oversight
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Manual Dexterity: Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers for using a computer.
  • Stationary Tasks: Sitting for extended periods, remaining in a stationary position.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness
  • Partner with business leaders and the VP of People to translate HR strategy into practical, executable plans
  • Lead and develop the People Operations team (US, India, China), providing coaching, oversight, and serving as an escalation point to build team independence
  • Drive consistency and quality in People programs, policies, and employee experience across geographies
  • Lead employee relations matters end-to-end, including investigations, performance issues, and conflict resolution, ensuring fairness, documentation, and legal compliance
  • Identify trends, risks, and capability gaps across teams; implement proactive solutions and development plans
  • Enable effective performance management by improving participation, goal-setting, and development planning practices
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and government contractor requirements (e.g., OFCCP, EEO, Affirmative Action), including partnership with Talent Acquisition
  • Monitor regulatory changes across operating regions and adapt policies and practices accordingly
  • Own HR systems and data integrity (e.g., Lattice), while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve the employee experience
  • Provide support on complex or sensitive cases, including leave of absence (LOA) situations
