MAIN DUTIES: The Director of People Operations is responsible for strategy and implementation of various People Operations programs, systems and procedures to aid in the attraction, retention and motivation of team members in accordance with policies, procedures and government laws and regulations; assist in the administration while promoting a safe, fair, positive work environment. GENERAL DUTIES: Lead both strategic and tactical People Operations functions, focusing on workforce planning, recruitment and staffing, wage and salary administration, employee and labor relations, benefits, and workforce training and development. Develop and implement People Operations policies and procedures that support the hotel’s operational objectives and align with corporate standards. Lead initiatives to support workforce diversity and inclusion. Demonstrate expertise in employment law and government regulations affecting People Operations, guiding the property’s compliance efforts. Develop and implement comprehensive compensation plans and ensure alignment with industry standards. Provide strong guidance and support in employee relations, including training and counseling managers on conflict resolution and employee concerns. Administer HRIS and HCM systems to support operational efficiencies and ensure accurate People Operations data management. Grow and develop an People Operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability. Conduct needs analysis and create, implement, and monitor relevant training programs. Work closely with Corporate People Operations and senior leadership on People Operations strategy and reporting. Participate actively in professional People Operations organizations to remain current on industry best practices. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: At least 6 years of related Human Resources experience in a luxury hotel Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred Are organized and proficient at multitasking Demonstrates self-confidence, high levels of energy, enthusiasm and motivation through actions. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment. Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and be flexible. Quick learner and thinker – able to grasp new concepts. Innovative and change-driven with a high sense of urgency. Strives to improve self, others and overall practices and procedures. Strong, positive and energized professional presence. Thorough understanding of compliance for all aspects of People Operations, including but not limited to labor laws, posting requirements and documents, Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. Proficient in verbal and written English communication Computer literate: advanced knowledge of personal computers and various software. Professional & appropriate business appearance and demeanor aligned with the 1 Hotel brand and culture. About us...
