Position Summary The Director, People and Culture Communications, is responsible for supporting the strategic communications for the People Organization, in alignment with HR and enterprise objectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in employee communications in the Pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industry.
  • Bachelors in a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership of and collaboration with internal team members and agency support.
  • Experience designing and executing communications strategies and campaigns in coordination with business partners in support of enterprise priorities.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, content creation, channel strategy and digital/social media best practices, including how to optimize content delivery across channels and audiences.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with team members and agency resources across business units, functional departments, geographies and disciplines through clear communication.
  • Superior written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to “roll up sleeves” and demonstrated success in executing on complex change management campaigns.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to engage with and persuade wide variety of audiences.
  • Experience working with ambiguity and complexity.
  • High comfort interacting, building trust and persuading key stakeholders, including internal contacts
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed environment and operate within a complex, fast-paced and changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the internal communications plans and activities to engage target audiences around the BMS People Strategy.
  • Oversight of prioritized PBRG/Inclusion initiatives in close partnership with Corporate Affairs, and BMS partners
  • Point of contact for Inclusion & Culture and PBRG communications, ensuring cohesive, strategic and consistent deployment of Corporate Affairs resources.
  • Drives employee engagement through strategic communications and storytelling approach inclusive of internal and external channels that focus on sharing BMS and its people-focused achievements, People Strategy, company culture/values and other topics to support the company as a great place to work.
  • Builds evidence through communications for the company’s People Strategy, company culture/values, employee experience, learning and other key topics supporting BMS as an employer of choice.
  • Coordinates as a strategic partner between HR and Corporate Affairs on change and HR-related milestones, in such areas as company culture/values, employee experience/employer brand and employee learning.
  • Contributes to the development and delivery of an editorial strategy to support the company’s People Strategy initiatives, ensuring alignment across leadership and all channels.
  • Lead on clear and compelling communications to stabilize and signal confidence via transformation initiatives and campaigns
  • Communicate HR programs and changes affecting all employees through multi-channel content such as enterprise emails, videos, and Viva community activations.
  • Contribute to People Manager content strategy
  • Co-lead the design and execution of BMS People Week, ensuring impactful programming and communications.
  • Co-lead editorial calendar management and People Org channel strategy in partnership with PLT and Strategy & Operations teams.
