About The Position

ABOUT THE ROLE The Director, People Business Partner (PBP) leads the delivery of all strategic HR services to internal client groups to drive outstanding performance and lead the overall Peloton talent agenda. Success in this role comes from fostering a strong focus on culture and well-being, becoming a credible partner to business leaders, providing expert insights, and embracing resiliency, agility, and scale. The ideal candidate is a strategic HR partner who is passionate about delivering business impact. In collaboration with the senior leadership team, this role will focus on driving programs that ignite our talent, enrich our culture, and build leadership capability at all levels. Reporting to the Vice President, People Business Partners and Workplace Experience, this person will work closely with our highly collaborative Centers of Excellence teams. This role is based in our NYC headquarters with team members working a hybrid schedule- three days (3) in the office and two days (2) remotely.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of HR business partner experience with strong expertise in talent management and inclusion & impact. Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working with senior executives (C-suite, SVP/VP)
  • Recognized as credible (garners respect, acts with integrity, keeps commitments); proactive (has a point of view, challenges assumptions, takes initiative); and a trusted thought partner (builds relationships, delivers results)
  • Highly collaborative work style; ability to establish relationships and partnerships at all levels of the organization

  • Design, implement, and lead change management initiatives
  • Exhibit agility and adaptability during periods of transformation, leading teams through change with purpose, tact, poise, and patience
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to take sizable problems and break them into small manageable pieces

  • Superb judgment and integrity, including excellent decision-making skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics, using insights to make informed recommendations that drive strategic HR decisions
  • Experience working with a diverse international employee population and the ability to navigate global HR practices, globally preferred
  • Partner with leaders to cultivate an engaged workforce, ensuring they own and actively contribute to the company culture
  • Demonstrated business acumen, with a deep understanding of how HR strategies align with and drive overall business objectives, enabling effective decision-making and impactful talent management

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution in a globally matrixed environment to drive a high-performance culture
  • Assess organizational performance systemically, defining talent gaps and proposing HR solutions that support client business objectives
  • Coach business leaders on HR processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development
  • Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, succession planning, and retention activities
  • Analyze trends and metrics, and collaborate with HR functional experts to develop solutions, make recommendations, and develop programs
  • Partner with the centers of excellence (Compensation, Talent Management, Inclusion & Impact) on key programs throughout the annual talent cycle
  • Partner with the Employee Relations team, Employment Legal, and other key stakeholders on the identification, escalation, risk mitigation and resolution of employee relations issues
  • Strengthen senior leader capabilities through 1:1 coaching to help them refine their leadership capabilities/effectiveness
  • Infuse inclusion practices into Peloton’s culture, fostering an environment of inclusion and support aligned to Peloton’s vision, mission, and values
