Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Operational Excellence (OE), the Director is responsible for driving emergency services OE across BILH. In this role, the Director will provide insights and expertise to BILH's system and hospital leaders, including by leading efforts to identify areas of opportunity to implement best practices and drive sustainable operational improvements in the emergency services environment, leveraging our electronic medical record data to gain insights and measure performance. Initiatives will focus on such goals as increasing emergency services throughput and access, reducing lab and imaging turnaround times, and improving provider, staff, and patient satisfaction. The Director serves as a clinical subject matter expert in emergency services OE and is responsible for collaborating with system and hospital leadership to define the vision and strategic approach for emergency services optimization. The Director will play a leadership role across system and hospital emergency services committees and will manage a portfolio of emergency services OE initiatives. The Director will work directly with project management team members who will support this work, including through facilitation of cross-functional teams. Partnering with local clinical and operations leaders, the Director will identify opportunities for improvement and develop comprehensive implementation and performance measurement plans. The Director will be responsible for providing analytic support to inform decision making, develop tools and metrics for tracking performance, and create materials and processes to enable effective communication, change management, and best practice sharing across entities. This role is a remote-hybrid position, with the Director expected to be on-site at any and all BILH hospitals and system offices for rounding and meeting participation.
