About The Position

Provides overall direction and management, operational planning, administrative coordination and implementation of programs and activities related to the oncology service line. Accountable for the development and implementation of cancer resource and recovery programs, patient navigation (standards, scope of practice, and variance reduction), cancer patient experience improvement, survivor-ship care, monitoring of outcome metrics, management and compliance with accreditation program mandates relative to navigation, survivor-ship, and cancer recovery. Develops relationships with service and health care providers to assist oncology patients in achieving the best possible health outcome by facilitating access to healthcare, physician providers and community resources that enhance patients' experience within the health care system, as well as helping them achieve maximum benefit from those resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare or related field
  • 12 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of current clinical practices in cancer services, multidisciplinary clinics, infusion centers, and radiation oncology.
  • Current with new and changing standards, including clinical, reimbursement, and regulatory.
  • Knowledge of Title XXII and JCAHO standards.
  • Demonstrated application of management theory and practice, including systems analysis, financial and human resource management, organizational development, planning, marketing, and governmental regulations.
  • Solid understanding of operations and workflows, and how the department’s process/workflow impacts other department operations.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts and communicate information or issues in a manner that is readily understood by management and employees.
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in achieving goals through individuals without having direct control of those resources.
