About The Position

Another Source’s client, Cal State Long Beach, is recruiting a Director, Office of Belonging and Inclusion to join their team in Long Beach, California. Here’s a little about Cal State Long Beach, the Office of Belonging and Inclusion, and the position they are recruiting for: Cal State Long Beach, one of the largest universities in the CSU system, is located on a beautifully landscaped 320-acre campus near the ocean and the thriving downtown Long Beach community. The Office of Belonging and Inclusion (OBI) plays a central role in advancing student engagement, identity development, and a strong sense of belonging across campus. Through culturally responsive programs, leadership development, and campus partnerships, OBI supports students, particularly those identified by the CSU as underrepresented, in their personal growth, academic success, and connection to the university community. Working closely with campus partners across Student Affairs and Academic Affairs, the Office of Belonging and Inclusion develops initiatives that strengthen recruitment, retention, and degree completion while fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment where all students can thrive. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student Success and Engagement, the Director of the Office of Belonging and Inclusion (OBI) serves as the lead administrator for OBI and the Men’s Success Initiative. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape institution-wide efforts that strengthen belonging, identity development, and student engagement - particularly for students identified by the CSU as underrepresented. The Director will champion culturally responsive programming, advance equity-minded strategies, and collaborate across academic and student affairs to support recruitment, matriculation, persistence, and graduation.
