We are looking for an experienced Director of Workplace Operations & Services who will continually foster a productive and safe work environment for Realty Income team members across the globe. The Director oversees workspace operations, office equipment, building compliance and safety protocols for the offices. Additionally, this role collaborates remotely on office operations and compliance with European office locations. This highly visible position is tasked with ensuring secure, efficient, and well-maintained building standards for our offices globally. They will drive innovation and strategic improvements across the organization including employee support, training, safety, capital expenditures and coordinating facilities operations. The Director, Workplace Operations & Services combines strong project planning/execution and operational oversight with employee collaboration and training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college degree is preferred.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in building/campus management, with direct supervisory experience.
  • Strong project management skills to include planning, budgeting, timeline management, and execution.
  • Experience with developing and rolling out global guidelines and safety standards, to include annual planning and employee training.
  • Proficiency with computers, printers, copy machines and other office technology.
  • Experience in emergency response, security, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of sustainability initiatives, including recycling and e-cycling programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a facilities roadmap that balances employee experience, safety, operational efficiency, sustainability, and budget considerations across short- and long-term initiatives.
  • Plan and coordinate with facilities management for building activities (e.g., construction, installations, fire drills).
  • Oversight of building, office, and parking access; plan and execute changes as needed.
  • Manage and monitor security cameras.
  • Regular safety and security facilities walkthroughs to verify safety and compliance with entrance and exit access.
  • Oversees resolution for unsafe conditions as necessary.
  • Ensure all first aid and AED units are available and ready for use.
  • Plan and coordinate regular employee training to include CPR/AED, Workplace Harassment, Workplace Violence, and other training as required to remain compliant with regulations.
  • Manage emergencies as appropriate and complete necessary incident reporting.
  • Manage safety procedures and verify Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies/usage and ensure Emergency Evacuation Plan is up to date.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with People Success to implement and maintain office policies.
  • Support company events and town hall meetings by coordinating meeting spaces.
  • Manage guest and visiting remote employee access, and internal connections.
  • Ensure a high performing front desk process for guests and visiting employees.
  • Management of floor plans, seating plans, and office reservation program.
  • Coordinate office/desk moves and optimize space usage.
  • Support company recycling efforts and practices are in place to support corporate sustainability.
  • Manage and create the U.S. Facilities budget by proactively maintaining office equipment, sourcing cost-effective supplies, and aligning purchases to stay within the budget.
  • Ensure break rooms are stocked and appliances are operational.
  • Manage ergonomic equipment installation and adjustments.
  • Ensure high visibility areas are maintained with the highest standards, assure all areas of the office environment are sanitary, well stocked, and disinfected routinely throughout each day.
  • Maintain safety documentation (MSDS) as needed.
  • Manage contracts, certificates of insurance (COIs), office machinery maintenance, and repairs as necessary.
