About The Position

Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a premier national distributor specializing in residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts, and supplies. We serve licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors, ensuring top-quality HVAC solutions across 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and Canada. With over 200+ locations, we are well-positioned to meet our customers' HVAC/R needs. The Director of Wholesale will provide sales leadership to the regional leadership team to grow and expand the wholesale business. This individual will develop and lead a team of sales leaders and managers through providing strategic directions to achieve financial goals and objectives and improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree- Master’s degree preferred
  • 5 plus years Sales and Distribution leadership experience
  • Strong background within distribution, preferably within wholesale HVAC/R systems. Electrical, Plumbing or Building Materials.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic directions to sales management through setting sales objectives and goals for the assigned regional market. This includes identifying sales opportunities, setting sales targets/expectations, including opportunities for market share, growth margin, etc.
  • Design strategic plans to achieve/exceed targets.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement for the Wholesale team by coaching, motivating, and mentoring.
  • Partner with Regional teams to build and nurture customer relationships while enhancing the overall customer experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Identify and eliminate obstacles by collaborating with internal groups to facilitate effective solutions for the wholesale team.
  • Proactively identify internal and external areas of opportunity for improvement to mitigate customer and internal associate concerns/issues. Efficiently resolve conflict through strong critical thinking skills.
  • Provide insight to the Vice-President on market shifts and strategic direction of the business segments within the channel.
  • The ability to cross function between the different regional business units.
  • Make timely and appropriate recommendations for ongoing education and training for new and existing team members.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
