About The Position

Global Science & Technology (GST) is seeking a Director of West Virginia County Partnerships to lead relationship ownership, account growth, and customer experience across our Managed Services Provider (MSP) portfolio serving county and municipal governments. The goal is to drive strategic growth within existing county accounts while expanding GST's footprint through new opportunities and high -impact partnerships. The Director will serve as the single point of accountability for customer success, leading engagement with county stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery, strong alignment with expectations, and consistent execution of contractual commitments. This is a field -based role requiring proactive engagement across West Virginia and a well -established network within county government.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated existing relationships with West Virginia county or municipal government stakeholders (e.g., County Commissioners, Clerks, Assessors, Sheriffs, Emergency Management, IT leaders)
  • Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships, not just generate new business
  • Strong understanding of local government operations and procurement processes
  • Ability to navigate both executive -level conversations and operational service issues
  • Highly self -directed, with the ability to operate independently in a field -based role
  • Experience in managed IT services (MSP), technology services, or government contracting preferred
  • Experience owning or supporting account management, customer success, or service delivery outcomes preferred
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and public sector IT environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Ownership & Account Health
  • Serve as the executive relationship owner for assigned county and municipal clients
  • Conduct regular Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and ongoing check -ins with key stakeholders
  • Own customer satisfaction, retention, and overall account health
  • Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns and ensure timely resolution
  • Identify and address gaps in service delivery, communication, or expectations
  • Service Delivery Coordination & Accountability
  • Partner closely with GST operations, service delivery, and technical teams
  • Ensure services are delivered in alignment with SLAs, contracts, and customer expectations
  • Drive internal accountability for issue resolution, service quality, and responsiveness
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable improvements across delivery teams
  • Ensure seamless coordination between sales commitments and operational execution
  • Account Growth & Business Development
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts (additional services, agencies, or locations)
  • Leverage relationships to generate new MSP opportunities across West Virginia counties
  • Support and lead customer -facing aspects of proposals, presentations, and solution shaping
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of both expansion and net -new opportunities
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning
  • Maintain situational awareness of county budgets, leadership priorities, and procurement activity
  • Track upcoming RFPs/RFQs and informal ("blue bird") opportunities
  • Provide real -time market intelligence to GST leadership and proposal teams
  • Position GST as a trusted, long -term IT partner within the county ecosystem
  • GST has an existing and growing footprint within West Virginia county government
  • This role will inherit active customer relationships requiring strengthened engagement and consistency
  • Success requires a leader who can stabilize and expand accounts simultaneously
  • This is a highly visible role with direct impact on customer retention and regional growth
