About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced trauma services leader to direct and advance a comprehensive Level II Trauma Program . This is a non-traditional nursing leadership role with a strong focus on operations, strategy, quality, and financial performance , reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer . The Director of Trauma Program serves as the subject matter expert across the trauma continuum, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a trauma professional who thrives in a high-impact, system-level leadership position.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent (within the past year) leadership experience in an acute care trauma setting
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor’s or higher degree preferred
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of hire
  • Expertise & Skills: Deep subject matter expertise in trauma services Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work collaboratively across clinical and administrative teams

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Coordinate and optimize trauma patient care across the full continuum Align hospital trauma services with local and regional trauma systems
  • Performance Improvement & Registry Management Oversee the trauma registry to support research, trend analysis, and performance improvement initiatives Lead trauma performance improvement (PI) activities and data-driven decision-making
  • Quality & Clinical Oversight Develop and monitor quality indicators, audits, and case reviews Analyze trends and outcomes to ensure compliance with trauma standards and best practices
  • Operations & Financial Management Monitor financial performance, resource utilization, and operational efficiency of the Trauma Center Support budgeting, staffing, and process improvement initiatives
  • Accreditation & Compliance Lead trauma center verification and re-verification processes Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Daily Program Operations Provide oversight for a team of approximately 8 FTEs Conduct rounds, collaborate with trauma surgeons and emergency department leadership Address operational and patient care concerns as they arise
