The Director of the Faculty Center reports to the Dean of Academic Programs and provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the University’s central hub for teaching and learning excellence, faculty professional development, and community building. The Director oversees all Faculty Center operations, offering administrative leadership in faculty development, inclusive and evidence-based pedagogy, instructional design integration, and faculty support programs that advance student learning and institutional effectiveness. The Director also represents the University through leadership and participation in the North County Higher Education Association (NCHEA). The Director serves as the campus lead for teaching and learning excellence, collaborating with Academic Programs, Academic Technology, Institutional Research, the Deans, the Provost’s Office, and the Faculty Center Advisory Council. In addition, the Director supervises the Center’s staff, including the Faculty Center Coordinator/Analyst, instructional designers and educational developers (as they transition into the Center), and faculty fellows programming, in alignment with the Faculty Center’s organizational structure.
