Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree desired preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with Senior Management
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills

Responsibilities

  • Strong technical knowledge of woven fabrics.
  • Hands on knowledge of finishing and dyeing processes, both in garment and piece goods form, construction options and alternatives to get optimum product at best cost.
  • Oversee & Manage a team of individuals to insure all functions relating to the sourcing, costing, negotiating, booking and production cycle are maintained
  • Work closely with Cross Functional Teams to troubleshoot any potential issues upfront to help and come to the table with workable solutions .
  • Insure that all adopted qualities have been tailored to insure workable before proceeding into production. It is too late to find out issues after production is complete
  • Insure all standards have been cfmd and are on hand in advance of placing bulk.
  • Review and maintain seasonal records for overall booking to review with VP of Textiles & Trim to work on Corporate Strategies
  • Review weekly WIPS with your teams to make sure there are no dlvy issues that can potentially impact our garment delivery
  • Alert VP of Textiles/Trim to any potential issues along with workable solutions.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with the suppliers so that we can effectively create a workable environment In good times and bad.
  • Give guidance and motivation to interdepartment teams
  • Knowledge of testing requirements for fabric and garments, and ability to problem solve to achieve approvals.
  • Proactively watch market trends and analyze applicability to each brand.
  • Counter source production challenges to be in front of calendar deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with costing team to monitor costs in advance of placements.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
