Supplemental insurance benefits What is needed for this job as our Director of Teen Workforce Development: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A combination of coursework and professional experience may qualify as equivalency Experience working with teens, particularly in urban or underserved communities Demonstrated ability to facilitate youth programming focused on college and career readiness, mentorship, financial literacy, and social-emotional development, using interactive and culturally responsive methods to engage middle and high school students Experience facilitating group work with teens in form and informal learning environments Demonstrated ability to foster inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant learning environments Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with youth, families, and partners Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple cohorts and project timelines Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight conferences Reliable personal vehicle required; this role involves regular travel throughout the Greater Philadelphia area Passion for working with emerging technologies and deep commitment to the youth Proven ability to build bridges and maintain partnerships across nonprofit, educational, and corporate sectors The responsibilities we will trust you as our Director of Teen Workforce Development: Oversees the delivery of GPY’s Teen Workforce Development program to ensure alignment with employability, character development, and SEL outcomes Ensures SEL and character-building components are consistently implemented within the curriculum and facilitation model Directly supervises, coaches, and evaluates program facilitators to maintain high-quality, consistent program delivery across sites Monitors program fidelity, participant engagement, and skill development to ensure expected outcomes are achieved Leads recruitment and retention efforts for teen participants in partnership with Y branches, schools, and community organizations Expands program presence into additional high schools, community centers, and partner sites based on strategic priorities Builds and maintains relationships with school administrators, employers, and community partners to support program access and work-based learning opportunities Coordinates internship, apprenticeship, and career exposure placements with employer partners Tracks and reports participation, retention, and outcome data to support program evaluation and funding requirements Identifies site-level needs and ensures appropriate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation Provides regular status and impact reports to leadership and key stakeholders Collaborates with development and marketing teams to support funding, visibility, and partnership opportunities Manages program resources to ensure efficient and effective operations Staff Supervision & Development Lead, support, and align branch-based Achievers staff to ensure consistency consistent program quality across all YMCA sites Supervise program staff, site coordinators, and facilitators operating in schools and community centers, ensuring excellence in delivery and youth engagement Provide coaching, professional development, and performance feedback to strengthen staff capacity Foster a collaborative and mission-driven culture grounded in YMCA values and SEL principles Program Quality & Measurable Outcomes: Implement and monitor measurable outcomes and performance benchmarks collaboration with senior leadership Track participant data related to youth engagement, post-secondary readiness, and social-emotional growth to ensure alignment with organizational goals Use data, youth feedback, and partner input to assess program effectiveness and guide continuous program enhancement Prepare and communicate program results through reports, presentations, and storytelling that highlight youth success and community impact Ensure full compliance with YMCA standards, risk management procedures, and best practices in youth development What you can expect: Support from an amazing leadership team Opportunities to learn & grow at the YMCA Being a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community stronger YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to Apply After reading this, if you’re thinking this is me- we want to meet you!
