Job Descriptions We are seeking a seasoned Tax professional to join our team as the Director of Tax Services. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced International Tax Director who has a comprehensive understanding of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and its impact on international tax laws and regulations. Expertise in GILTI, FDII, and other provisions related to U.S. taxation, along with familiarity with updated international reporting forms (including 5471), is essential. A historical knowledge of sub-part F, foreign disclosure requirements, and cross-border business and family structuring is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive tax consulting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of inbound and outbound taxation, international, estate, and gift tax planning, and foreign trust issues (including foreign grantor and non-grantor trusts).

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees such as a master’s in taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD are highly valued.
  • Experience with a large public accounting firm or large law firm.
  • Experience in inbound and outbound transaction consulting, multinational corporation taxation, transfer pricing, and foreign tax credit utilization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert research and consultation on tax-efficient structuring of inbound and outbound international transactions.
  • Utilize tax treaties effectively, plan offshore investment activities, and design repatriation programs to minimize U.S. and foreign income taxes for our U.S.-based multinational clients.
  • Facilitate clients’ understanding of international tax developments and their implications.
  • Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within your client group.
  • Collaborate closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a cohesive team approach.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects, assessing performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively.
  • Serve as a business advisor to clients, making recommendations on business and process improvements.
  • Stay informed regarding tax changes and issues that could affect clients by attending regular professional development and training sessions.
