About The Position

APTIM's Sustainability team seeks a visionary, results-oriented Director of Sustainability Solutions to lead a dynamic team of sustainability professionals and drive strategic growth with large commercial and industrial clients in our key end markets including Retail, Hospitality, Sports Venues, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, and Food & Beverage. This role blends leadership, innovation, and business development to deliver impactful solutions that help organizations meet their environmental sustainability goals. As a senior leader within a global environmental powerhouse, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing APTIM's sustainability solutions growth strategy. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, business administration, or ESG-related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental sustainability consulting.
  • Proven success in business development and client engagement.
  • Expertise in climate strategy, ESG reporting, and environmental policy.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Commitment to APTIM's quality, safety, and compliance standards, including OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of sustainability experts.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning.
  • Align team capabilities with emerging market needs and client expectations.
  • Drive growth by identifying and securing new opportunities in energy, waste, water, carbon, and ESG disclosures and strategy.
  • Partner across APTIM's business units to win work and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Represent APTIM at conferences and forums, contributing thought leadership and elevating brand visibility.
  • Lead proposal development, pitch strategy, and contract negotiations.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory and framework shifts, technological innovations, and market shifts to inform strategic direction.
  • Participate in APTIM's sales incentive program and responsible for tracking leads and opportunities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Travel as necessary to successfully perform duties.
  • Function as a Seller-Doer directly effecting the revenue, profitability, cash flow, and repeat business of the company through the ability to develop client relationships and lead teams in delivering a quality product or service to the client.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Develop and manage projects that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes of work.
