Director of Strategy
About The Position
We’re looking for a Director of Strategy who is ready to lead and grow. This is not a legacy-title director role. It’s an opportunity for a seasoned strategist (approximately 8–12 years of experience) who’s prepared to step into greater ownership, shape high-level client conversations, and help define the future of strategy at SixSpeed. We’re seeking a strategic leader who is comfortable with hands-on work — across brand strategy, creative strategy, connections strategy, and audience research — and adept at leading conversations with clients. If you’re energized by building strategies from the ground up, and you’re ready to expand your influence — this role is built for you. As Director of Strategy, you will lead foundational strategic thinking across key accounts and new business. You’ll partner closely with executive leadership and department leads to build transformative strategies that drive creative excellence and business growth.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in brand strategy, advertising, or marketing
- Proven ability to lead client-facing strategic conversations
- Skilled at distilling complex business challenges into focused opportunities
- Experienced in developing brand and campaign strategies that drive measurable results
- Confident presenter and storyteller
- Excellent writing and communication proficiency
- Deeply curious about culture, consumers, and behavior
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
Responsibilities
- Lead brand, creative, and engagement strategy on projects from insight to execution
- Sit confidently with clients to uncover business challenges and translate them into clear strategic direction
- Build strategic frameworks and create novel approaches to challenges
- Craft compelling narratives that align teams and inspire clients
- Champion human insight, cultural intelligence, and behavioral understanding
- Partner cross-functionally to elevate creative output
- Contribute meaningfully to new business efforts and agency growth
- Mentor and develop strategists on the team
