The Associate Director of Strategy is the connective tissue between insight and impact. This role isn’t about writing long decks filled with data. It’s about turning complexity into clarity. Turning research into conviction. Turning cultural signals into business growth. You lead strategy in a way that inspires, not overwhelms. You know how to zoom out to see the business problem, zoom in to find the human truth, and then simplify it into a story teams can rally behind. You build business cases grounded in data. You present in rooms where decisions get made. You influence creative, account, social and client partners with confidence and clarity. Most importantly, you make strategy usable and something teams can act on, not just admire. At Inspire, strategy isn’t theoretical, it’s the only thing consumers ever see. It drives creative that moves culture and lifts brands. The Associate Director of Strategy ensures the thinking is sharp, focused, and built to win.

Requirements

  • A strategist who sees patterns others miss and can explain them simply.
  • Someone equally comfortable in a PowerPoint and on a client stage.
  • A leader who can inspire creative teams without stifling creativity.
  • A thinker who understands both the business model and the cultural moment.
  • A storyteller who knows that clarity beats complexity every time.
  • A confident executive presence who earns trust quickly.
  • 5+ years of advanced brand planning or strategy experience (agency experience required).
  • Deep understanding of Hispanic and multicultural audiences.
  • Strong experience analyzing syndicated research (Nielsen, Simmons, Mintel, Census data, proprietary dashboards, etc.).
  • Proven ability to build and defend business cases using data and cultural insights.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with comfort leading C-suite conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Simplify the Complex: Distill business challenges, research findings, and cultural nuance into clear, actionable strategic direction.
  • Build the Business Case: Use quantitative and qualitative data to support recommendations, shape positioning, and drive confident client decision-making.
  • Inspire Through Storytelling: Craft strategic narratives that energize internal teams and persuade executive-level audiences.
  • Lead Brief Development: Create sharp, inspiring briefs that unlock strong creative, rooted in insight, not generalizations.
  • Connect Culture to Commerce: Translate Hispanic and multicultural insights into platforms that grow brand equity and drive measurable results.
  • Present at the Highest Level: Lead client conversations with clarity and authority, especially in executive settings where alignment and trust are critical.
  • Evaluate Impact: Measure and interpret campaign effectiveness, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Elevate the Team: Mentor cross-functional partners by evangelizing strategic thinking, storytelling, and problem-solving.
  • Support Growth: Provide senior strategic leadership in new business pitches, helping shape winning narratives and positioning.
