About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Director of Sales to lead and execute all sales strategies for a full-service hotel in the NYC Tri-State area. This role is responsible for driving revenue across all segments, including group, corporate, and catering, while building strong client relationships and maximizing market share.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hotel sales experience, preferably in a full-service environment
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong knowledge of NYC Tri-State market and key demand drivers
  • Experience with group, corporate, and catering sales
  • Proficiency in hotel systems (Delphi, CI/TY, Opera, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and occupancy goals
  • Lead all group, corporate, and catering sales efforts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key market segments
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships to drive repeat business
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, forecasting, and inventory strategy
  • Partner with hotel leadership to align sales strategies with overall business objectives
  • Oversee RFP responses, contract negotiations, and account management
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics to adjust strategy
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team (if applicable)
  • Ensure strong presence in the local market through networking and industry engagement
